I would like to import a png or image file and have lucid chart create a flow chart for me.
I saw this feature was also requested by Peter H101.
I’m creating an idea topic for this request to be seen as product feedback.

Thanks for your post! We’re very interested in your feedback and committed to continually improving our products. If you’re willing to share, we’d love to hear more details about your use case or what you’d like to see in this experience within this thread. I’ve also merged this post with Peter’s aforementioned one so that the entire conversation is visible to others within the Product Feedback section of the community - from here, they can upvote it and add details of their own.

I think the main use case would be the output from a meeting (yes a face to face one) where we’ve drawn ideas on a board and taken photos of it with the intention of turning it into a flow, design etc. This is the reason I searched for this capability as we’ve had multiple workshops with multiple ideas drawn on a board just this week and all of them need a Lucid diagram to be created

Hi Christo,

If you’re desperate for a result on this, you could utilise something like Gemini or ChatrGPT and ask it to convert your diagram to PlantUML format, then paste the code you get back into PlantUML. It’s a brilliant piece of kit.

If anything, it would be truly great if Lucid could import the UML code that PlantUML uses.

(Oh! Apologies - I did not see the posted date! It would appear that the rate of Ideas versus change is rather slow for Lucid).

Kind regards,
