We use big or multi-diagrams for SW and Solution architecture and started to embed these in our Confluence documents.
A big drawback in terms of usability is the fact that the plugin only understands page context and we still have to rely on screenshots in order to direct the focus of our readers to the relevant areas of the diagrams.
IDEA: Make use of selection/view links as embedding source for the plugin or add the ability to define a “view area” as loading default for the diagram.

Hi @AlSu,

Thanks for your post! Unfortunately, this isn’t currently supported in Lucid, but we’re very interested in your feedback and committed to continually improving our products. If you’re willing to share, we’d love to hear more details about your use case or what you’d like to see in this experience within this thread. I’ve also converted this post to an idea so that it’s visible to others within the Product Feedback section of the community - from here, they can upvote it and add details of their own.

HI @alison cheney

an example use case is a high-level component diagram mixed with infrastructure definitions as a solution architecture. The documentation of this solution walks the reader through several paragraphs of business cases and product constraints which reference to single or adjacent groupings of items in this diagram.
At the moment I’m using screenshots for most paragraphs to point to relevant areas (=< 10% of the whole diagram size) to guide the readers towards the relevant items. It’s not solvable by using pages.

In short, I’m looking for a focus feature for embedded diagrams.
