Hi Josua thanks for posting in the community! Unfortunately what you are trying to do is not currently supported in Lucidchart, but we’re very interested in your feedback and committed to continually improving our products. If you’re willing to share, we’d love to hear more details about your use case or what you’d like to see in this experience within this thread. I’ve also converted this post to an idea so that it’s visible to others within the Product Feedback section of the community - from here, they can upvote it and add details of their own.
Finally, for more information on how Lucid manages feedback via this community, take a look at this post:
As a workaround I'd recommend temporarily turning off line connections adding a line/arrow over the internal line you wish to remove and making it the same color as the fill color. You can read this Help Center article to find more information on how to turn off line connections and modify lines. Although it is not the best solution it should achieve the effect you are looking for.
Please feel free let me know if you have any questions about this. Hope this helps!
I’d love to be able to do this as well!
My workaround is slightly different:
- Create the desired shape combination
- Group it
- Set the lines to the desired width/color/etc.
- Copy the shape
- Paste it over the original shape
- Remove the lines on the top shape
- (It’s not quite the same - the line width will be half what was set - but good enough for army work)
