Frustrating because the option is there to duplicate (right click on the node), but it ends up duplicating the entire mind map. That’s a bug.
Need to duplicate a node to improve productivity. The node has several children, and the new node has just some small updates. I don’t want to rewrite all of them again.
Can you address this? and when? ~ in the meantime, I’ll just have to rewrite stuff.

Hi @adnane.benali,
Thank you for posting in the Lucid Community! Unfortunately, when you copy a section of the mind map, it duplicates the whole diagram. This is currently how our Intelligent Mind Map feature operates.
However, we’re very interested in your feedback and committed to continually improving our products.
If you’re willing to share, we’d love to hear more details about your use case or what you’d like to see in this experience within this thread. I’ve also converted this post to an idea so that it’s visible to others within the Product Feedback section of the community - from here, they can upvote it and add details of their own.

@knield , thanks for your reply. I wouldn’t call that “Intelligent Min Map feature” if it is copying the entire mind when I simply followed the option available “right-clicked a specific node and clicked copy” then pasted. Or when I selected “Duplicate” on a specific node, and it did not duplicate just that one node. Plus, when it pasted the entire mindmap, it did that on top of the existing one (which makes it difficult to move around), and it changed its formatting, didn’t keep the node icons etc.
I think you can simply just fix the “Duplicate” feature and we’re all set.
Hi @adnane.benali,
Thank you for the reply. I apologize that this feature is currently not meeting your expectations. This is currently how the feature works. However, your feedback is noted and will be included in your feature request.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

This is exactly what I would expect from the duplicate feature. It is unhelpful as you cannot even copy the branch from the duplicate mindmap to the original.

This is how every other mind-mapping tool works. Anyone using this is expecting to be able to copy/paste/duplicate only the selected nodes and not duplicate the entire mind map. Hopefully this gets expedited. The lack of this most basic feature has pretty much rendered the tool useless.
It beggars belief that this function doesn’t exist. I’ve used other mindmapping programs for 15yrs plus and they all allow you to just copy/paste the bit you’ve selected, not the whole thing! urgent fix please LUCID!
Hi @mark.b and @GField, I appreciate your comments and I apologize for the inconvenience. I can certainly understand how this may be important to your workflow.
I also hope to emphasize that your feedback is incredibly important to us! This is the perfect place to share what you’d like to see in this experience and get your ideas in front of our product and development teams. I would also encourage you to upvote this post, as it helps to showcase which ideas are the most popular.
