Can I reposition multiplicity labels in class diagrams?

Is it possible to realign or position where multiplicity labels appear in class diagrams? When I have a horizontal association and Add Multiplicities, they sometimes overlap the shape (UML class) border and are not so readable. See screenshot.

Hi @Viewdelity

There is no built-in setting to automatically realign where multiplicity labels appear on class association lines.

Hope this helps - Happy to help further!!
Thank you very much and have a great one!
Warm regards

I think this is a simple bug with the product. When multiplicity is added to an association and it has a horizontal orientation between two classes and it has a value of a single digit, such as 1, it ought to be legible on the diagram and not so close to the shape.

Hi @Viewdelity, thank you for following up and we appreciate your feedback. I will keep this idea post for the option to move the multiplicity labels. However, I have also reported the behaviour to our development team.

In the meantime, could you share a temporary Document Support PIN for an example document that demonstrates this issue? This will help us take a closer look at what’s going on. This PIN is safe to post in this thread because it is only accessible by members of the Lucid support staff. You can find steps for generating a Support PIN in this Help Center article

I apologise for any disruption this may cause, and I will update this thread with any new information about this. Please follow along on this thread for updates, and post any additional questions or concerns below.

Thank you for sharing that document PIN, @Viewdelity. I have reported this to our development team. I apologize for any disruption this may cause, and I will update this thread with any new information about a fix.

Please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any questions.
