Bring back the toolbar for File Edit Select View Insert Arrange Share Help

Not sure who thought it was a good idea to hide these options under the new “three bar” icon next to the guide title, but I would like it back the old way.

Here’s another post that describes the change:

Hi, my name is Annie and I am on the product team here at Lucid. All of the feedback mentioned in this thread is super valuable and will be noted. This is an area of our product that we are actively working to improve the usability of, and this step was one of more to come. @MrEM thank you for showing support for this idea!

At this time, the best way to indicate support for specific features is in the Product feedback section of this Community.

For more information about how we manage feedback in this community, please take a look at this post:

Thanks again!

Oh My!!! didn’t you know that CLICKS TAKE TIME!!!. Nothing like increasing our work load! PLEASE bring back the menu bar. Even providing hot keys for ALL items is NOT good enough. Hands can be busy and break the flow. Just like having to click on the hamburger and scroll and click and scroll. Please make the Menu Bar optional to be turned ON as it was.

Upvoted.

Please bring back the toolbar.  Its not intuitive it being buried in the 3 line stack and adds an extra layer of complexity.

Please at least let it be a user defined setting so people can either leave it there, or toggle it back to being a toolbar that most people are used to dealing with.

Just what I was going to say. Being given a very short time to transfer from another product, the tutorials should be dependable and consistent with reality.

I agree with others, I find it confounding that it’s not an option that can be toggled on or off at user’s. I scoured preferences and profile looking for this - and other things mentioned in the tutorial. Who isn’t used to having the option of what toolbars to show and what not?

Can you imagine if google docs or sheets collapsed their program menus into a hamburger menu?? How absurd Lucid UX designers!! Hamburger menus were devised to address real estate issues on MOBILE view ports. I dont know how many of your users are diagramming from a mobile app but I’m guessing a vast majority of your users diagram on 4k monitors that are at least 20” in diameter. Hamburger menus are NOT appropriate for apps that people are using on desktop monitors!!
