AI-generate flowcharts and swim lanes with Lucid AI

Hello, . I am currently looking for an application that allows me to create flowcharts with swimlanes using AI, as I need to diagram many SOPs in that format.

Lucidchart's AI is really good, but it doesn't support that diagram format. It's limited to Flowchart - Sequence, Class Diagram, Entity Relationship, and Mind Map.

I would like to know if the business process flow format will be included as an option or if it could be added. This would allow me to propose this tool for the automation process.

Lucid AI can now automatically generate swimlanes with AI when creating diagrams. If your prompt includes lanes—or mentions teams, roles, or systems that imply lanes—Lucid AI will add them for you.

Try it out by asking Lucid AI to generate a diagram with swimlanes, and let us know:

  • What would make this even more useful?

Hi Ani, that is a fabulous idea! Kelsey, you should consider this seriously. Having the capability to have AI generate swim lanes would be very beneficial when process flows weave in and out of multiple functions within an organization.
