We’re excited to introduce the Licensing API—a new way to programmatically manage licenses and subscriptions within your Lucid account! 🚀
Why the Licensing API?
Licensing is a critical part of Lucid’s business model and essential to how customers manage their accounts. While many organizations use our SCIM API for user provisioning, we’ve received several requests for flexible licensing automation without the overhead of setting up a full SCIM integration.
This new API solves this request by allowing developers to build custom integrations and connect service desks to automate the flow of granting and tracking licenses.
What Can You Do?
Achieve granular control over your account's resources with this API. You can now:
- Automate Provisioning: Programmatically grant licenses to specific users to streamline onboarding and internal service desk requests.
- Monitor Subscriptions: Retrieve detailed information about your subscriptions, including license totals, trial status, and critical dates like start, end, and renewal times.
- Audit Usage: Gain visibility into license consumption and specific user assignments to help audit your organization’s structure.
