Lucid offers user provisioning/de-provisioning and group management via CRUD operations against the users and groups on an enterprise account via our SCIM REST API. For the technical instructions on accessing the SCIM REST API for Lucid please refer to our SCIM resource in the Developer Portal and post for help in the Lucid for Developers community.
The purpose of this post is to provide troubleshooting recommendations for common errors that occur when using SCIM to manage or provision Lucid users. This feature is only available to users on Enterprise accounts. See the Upgrade your Lucid account article for instructions to upgrade.
Cause of Error: User already created outside of account with SCIM enabled (429 conflict error)
- Possible Errors Returned: “Error while creating user x: Conflict. Errors reported by remote server" "Error: User x can not be created because the email already exists"
- Solution: Invite them to the account via the Lucid Admin Panel. In this case the user in question already exists as a user on an external Lucid account. To resolve the error you are facing you can invite the user onto your team via your admin panel. Once the user is on your team they will be provisioned correctly.
Cause of Error: (Okta customers) Using “Lucidchart” app instead of “Lucid” app
- Possible Errors Returned: Issues with licenses being applied to users in Lucid
- Solution: Migrate to the new “Lucid” app. We have released a new “Lucid” app in the Okta Marketplace. We recommend migrating to the new app as it features the correct licensing endpoints and is the app we will support in future updates.
