I have a Lucidchart account and serve as the process map creator / librarian for a small company.  I am not an employee of the company and as a contractor working for them, I created my own Lucidchart account and created the maps for them.

My contract role with them is ending.  My point of contact there will be creating a Lucidchart account of their own as he will take on the librarian role.

Is there a way for me to transfer all of the process maps that are in my documents folder to him?  If so, how do I make that happen?

Hi @davidford, thanks for posting in the Lucid Community! I’m happy to help!

First, I recommend sharing each document with the person who is taking over your librarian role- the person you would like to have ownership of the documents. Next, make sure that this person accepts the share invite for each document.

Once your collaborator has accepted the document invite, follow these steps to make them the new owner:

  1. Click Share in the top-right corner of the document you want to transfer ownership of.
    • You can also access the Share panel from the Lucid Home Page by clicking the three-dot menu on a document and selecting Share.
  2. Select Manage in the Collaborators section.
  3. Click the sharing permissions icon for the person you would like to transfer ownership to.
  4. Select Make owner.
    • Note: the "Make owner" option will not appear for a collaborator until they have accepted your document share invite
  5. In the confirmation window that appears, select whether or not you would like to remain as a collaborator.
  6. Click Make owner.

The new owner will receive a notification that they are now the owner of the document or board.

These steps are also outlined in this article if you’d like to learn more! Please let me know if you run into any trouble or have further questions!
