Simplified IdP group management for Lucid licensing
Lucid has updated its Identity Provider (IdP) licensing logic to align with industry-standard SCIM provisioning practices.
Previously, Lucid documentation recommended creating two separate IdP groups: a licensing group and a delicensing group. Moving forward, a dedicated delicensing group is no longer required.
What changed?

Will this break my existing setup? No. Your current SCIM provisioning will continue to function normally. Removing a user from your primary license group now automatically triggers delicensing within Lucid.
Recommended actions for admins
- Existing IdP configuration: You can safely sunset your dedicated delicensing group in your IdP at your convenience. Removing users from the primary license group is all that is required to revoke licenses.
- New IdP configuration: Map only your primary license group within your IdP SCIM settings. No secondary delicensing group creation is necessary. Refer to our SCIM overview article for resources for set up using your preferred SCIM provider.
