Lucidchart Macro Repair Tool for Confluence not working after Cloud to Cloud Migration

We recently migrated our Confluence content after an acquisition from one cloud instance to our parent company’s cloud instance. We are now seeing an error on all Lucid diagrams “Unable to copy, move, or duplicate Confluence pages with macros. Try copying the page first, deleting macros showing erros and reinserting the macros.”

The Lucidchart Macro Repair Tool seems like the solution for this as it says “The Lucidchart Macro Repair tool identifies and attempts to fix invalid Lucidchart macros. Invalid macros are often the result of copying or moving them between pages, spaces, or Confluence sites.”

However, when try to convert macros after running the search, we’re seeing the following error:

Conversion failed

Error (Flow ID: 0553034dbc359bb0, Time: 9/8/2026, 9:17:24 AM)

Any advice on a fix, or insight into what the error above means? Reuploading 700+ macros manually is a suboptimal solution.

@Leianne C , apologies for the delay - I don’t have persistent admin access so during the wait for a reply my admin access was removed from Confluence. I’ve had it restored, and we are still having the exact same issue.

Hi @jcald, thank you for your patience as I looked into this. Upon reviewing the provided information, our development team advised that it seems like you may not have linked your Lucid account with Confluence yet.

If you haven’t already, could you please try creating an embed in any Confluence Page by following the steps outlined here and connect/grant access as prompted? Once that is completed, please try the macro repair tool again.

Hi @Leianne C - our Lucid and Confluence are connected, and we don’t have any trouble connecting or sharing when adding new instances of the macro to our Confluence pages. The issue is that after we reconnected Lucid to Confluence after our recent migration, hundreds of existing documents are broken.

I ended up opening a service ticket, and the unfortunate response was that Lucid is not prepared to support its customers through Cloud to Cloud Confluence migrations. The suggestion is that we must reinsert hundreds of diagrams manually. I’d encourage Lucid to work on this issue - Mergers and Acquisitions often result in consolidating toolsets and merging instances of tools like Confluence.
