Hello,

I am attempting to create a Lucid based assignment on Canvas, and I want to be able to test out the submission and grading process before assigning it to students. Currently, when I change my faculty view to “test student.” Is there anyway to bypass this issue? Thanks!

Hi @mrs.cla

To troubleshoot issues and fully replicate the student experience, consider creating a real test student account in your Canvas course.

  • This involves enrolling a new user with a personal or simulated institutional email as a student, and then completing the assignment as that test student. This approach mimics the entire student experience, including Lucidchart account creation, submission, and grading.

Instead, if submission attempt limits are the issue, you can adjust the assignment settings to allow more attempts and retry with the test student, keeping in mind that third-party tools may not recognize the test student to learn more about the limits you can refer this post - Submission Error | Community

Hope this helps - Happy to help further!!
Thank you very much and have a great one!
Warm regards
