Hello,

Does anyone know how to migrate a lucid chart from one account to another?

We have a contract company that has some charts of our architecture in their lucid account. We need to move these to our account. How can we do this?

Thank you,

Ken

Hi @Kenneth C, thank you for posting your question in the Lucid Community! Since this request will likely deal with account-specific and sensitive information, I am directing this to our support team to get you taken care of.

The team works through tickets in the order they are received, and you can expect a quick response to your email associated with your Lucid account. Please refer to that email for further correspondence.

Hello, I have the same question.

I would like to migrate diagrams from my personal account to a new corporate account.

Hi @jlindholm, thanks for adding to this thread!

I recommend following these steps:

  1. Share each document on your personal account with your new account email. (You can follow the steps here to do so)
  2. In the email associated with your new corporate account, accept the share invite for each document.

After the above is completed, log back into your personal account and follow these steps to transfer ownership of each document to your new corporate account -

  1. Click Share in the top-right corner of the document you want to transfer ownership of.
  2. Select Manage in the Collaborators section.
  3. Click the sharing permissions icon for the person you would like to transfer ownership to.
  4. Select Make owner.
    • Note: the "Make owner" option will not appear for a collaborator until they have accepted your document share invite
  5. In the confirmation window that appears, select whether or not you would like to remain as a collaborator.
  6. Click Make owner.

These steps are also outlined in this article if you’d like to learn more! Please let me know if you run into any trouble or have further questions!
