Hi - I have a larger lucidspark document that needs to be restored to a previous version. When trying to browse the version history, the browser hangs and I can’t proceed. I’ve tried Edge, Chrome, and Firefox. Is there any way to restore a previous version other than browsing to it first?
I do not believe there is a desktop version of Lucidspark. This sounds like a browser issue. Perhaps it would work in Safari. Otherwise, you can try to remove the cache in the other browsers you’ve tried. Close and reopen. If that doesn’t work. Use them in incognito mode and see if that works.
Once you have resolved the browser issue, check out this thread:
Hi
If you are still encountering problems, can you please send the following information so I can take a closer look?
- A screenshot of the issue.
- A screenshot of the associated Javascript Console output after reproducing the issue. You can open your Javascript Console by pressing Ctrl+Shift+J (if your computer is a Windows/Linux) OR Cmd+Opt+J (if your computer is a Mac).
- Can you please send a temporary Document Support PIN for this document? This will allow me to take a closer look at the issue you’re experiencing. For more information on generating a Support PIN, check out this Help Center article.

Thank you both for your suggestions! I ended up trying it on a computer with more ram (32 gb) in firefox. It took 2 hours to load the version preview, then 4 hours once I hit the restore button. It would be great if there was a way to disable/toggle the preview when looking at versions to prevent it from hanging!
Hi
If you’ve already restored the previous version you were looking for, and are still having trouble with slow load time in the document, it might help to decrease the amount of storage being used by revision history. To do so, you can copy and paste the contents of a Lucid document into a new one. After doing this, you can delete the original document, which also deletes all previously saved edits from revision history. To copy content into a new document:
- In a Lucid document, select and copy all your content.
- In a separate browser tab, create a new Lucid document.
- Paste the content into the new document.
- Delete the original document.
- Be sure to delete it from the trash folder as well.
If you are having continued problems with either slow load times or accessing revision history, please can you please send a temporary Document Support PIN for this document? This will allow me to take a closer look at the issue you’re experiencing. For more information on generating a Support PIN, check out this Help Center article.
