Hi - I’m unable to edit this file: https://lucid.app/lucidspark/06e38a38-e7a2-42c3-bd88-5130f2f26de5/edit?invitationId=inv_6ed30cf0-7805-4c6e-a6dc-aa25ae0a5892&fromLoginFlow=true&page=0_0#. It says I can only edit my 3 most recently created boards, however, this is the most recently created board so not sure why it’s not working

I’m also having this issue. I only have 3 boards overall, and everything was working fine yesterday...

I only have 3 boards, yet the app says I can no longer edit one of my boards, only view it. I have exams coming up and would like to continue working. Can this be resolved? Thank you in advance.

I’m having the same problem … I also only have 3 boards and everything was working fine yesterday to. maybe there is a problem with the app?

I had to upgrade in order to use my board, which is not fair

Hi all, thank you for posting in the community. Would you mind sharing a brief description of the steps you took that led up to the popup message showing?

To help us narrow down the potential cause of the issue, could you please try the following troubleshooting step?

  • Try this in private or incognito window. For help with opening an incognito window, please see this community post (in English).

Please let me know if the issue persists after trying the step above, or if you have any questions!

even in incognito I get this … I only have 3 boards so I don’t know why I would need premium...

I have the same problem. I have only 3 boards in total and now cannot edit the main board I have been using all the time.

Maybe it counts „the last three boards created“? I might have created a fourth one sometimes and deleted it. While the main board I am using might indeed be older? But that behavior does not make sense.

It must be a bug.

Hi all, thank you for sharing additional details to help us take a closer look. It looks like you have identified a bug, and I have reported this to our development team. I apologize for any disruption this may cause, and I will update this thread with any new information about a fix. Please follow along on this thread for updates, and post any additional questions or concerns below.

Hi Lucid community?

Does someone know why, if the limitations are just 3 documents for free account, and I have exactly 3 documents (which logically means that those 3 documents will always be the most recent documents), I can no longer edit them?

Do they also expire or have a data restriction to be considered recent?

Thanks,

Is there any idea when it’s gonna be fixed? I need my things I made on there… My exams are soon. Thank you!

I can not edit my most recent document, it comes as read only. Even though it is one of my 3 most recent documents

I have the same issue. I only have three documents but one of them is locked from editing anyway (the one I need to use of course!)

I switched my grad school thesis planning and writing to Lucid last month or the month before, as well as the project planning and collaboration for my paid research work. I haven’t been able to work on either for four days because of this bug. I understand identifying, replicating and repairing bugs takes time. Can you or the devs recommend any workarounds in the meantime?

Thanks @Ambar D Here’s an screenshot. It is in spanish.
I can provide more info if you ask me

I have just 3 documents and nothing in the bin or anywhere else.

Thanks once again !

Hi @u1986026, thank you for providing those screenshots! It does appear that you’ve encountered a bug, and it has been reported to our development team. I apologize for any disruption this may cause.

I am merging this post with the one below, where the bug was originally reported. We will update the thread with any information about a fix. Please follow along for updates, and feel free to post any additional questions or concerns.

Hi all, thank you for sharing additional details to help us take a closer look! I apologize for any disruption this may cause to your workflows. As a workaround in the meantime, I would suggest the following.

If you would like to edit documents that are view-only I would recommend making a duplicate of the document using the following steps:

  1. Navigate to your 'My Documents' tab, right-click on the document, and select 'Duplicate.'
  2. The system will prompt you to rename your duplicated document, and it will be saved as the 'most recently edited,' enabling you to make changes.

This approach can be applied to any documents that are later set to view-only. Additionally, you can delete any old iterations of the document without compromising your edits made to your new document.

Please follow along on this thread for updates, and feel free to post any additional questions or concerns below!

Reporting this as a bug, as the “Create a new topic” user interface will only allow me to select “Question”, not “Bug”

Bug: I received the following message when trying to modify a document:

“You are on a free account and can edit your 3 most recently created documents. This document is view only because it is not one of your 3 most recently created document. Upgrade for unlimited editable documents”

  1. This is my most recently created document
  2. I was able to edit this document last week (post my subscription running out which happened several months ago), now I cannot.

I believe the above message is at worst, a bug, and at best misleading. Are there other criteria that determine if you can edit a document on a free account?
