Themes
Users can choose and customize a theme at the document level in Lucidchart. Once a theme is selected, it will automatically apply to the shapes already on the canvas and any future shapes added.
Excel two-way sync
Connect spreadsheets from your Microsoft 365 account into Lucid and sync your edits for the most accurate, up-to-date information. When linking data from Excel spreadsheets on the canvas, you can be confident that all changes are reflected in the upstream data set. Edits within Lucid push back to the source spreadsheet, and edits within the Excel spreadsheet appear in Lucid. Learn more.
AI diagram outline
Similar to an AI summary, right-click on any diagram to generate a formatted outline highlighting the diagram title and key details, ensuring a polished and informative document that quickly brings team members up to speed. This feature is particularly helpful for showcasing current-state and future-state visuals, making it easy for any viewer to follow along diagram steps.
AI actions
Access quick actions with ease by adding customizable buttons to your canvas. Simply click to activate or deactivate features, saving time and keeping tools at your fingertips. Learn more.

- Brainstorm: Generate fresh ideas with the Brainstorm AI quick action. Input a prompt and let AI provide inspiration, streamlining creative sessions.
- Sort Ideas: Instantly organize selected shapes into containers, enabling clearer structure and context. Customize how AI categorizes your content based on your needs.
- Summarize: Guide AI to quickly summarize content on your canvas in the sentiment you prefer, providing concise overviews for more efficient decision-making and collaboration.
