Work in Lucidchart isn't updated/saved

No, sorry, I click the tab but nothing happening… Still can not find my work

Would you be able to check on your browser history and see if you can access the same document you were working on 2 days ago? If it’s empty, would you be able to put some text or shapes into the document, close it and re-open it and see if they are being saved to that exact same document?

Maybe by accident the document got moved to trash, or another folder. Are you sharing this document with someone? 

Find that same document, and on the right side where you see that icon, click it

It will open a history tab on the right, it should still be there. Let me know

To clarify, is your work missing in the documents page or is there a portion of the document missing?

I just opened Lucid to update my org chart and it wasn’t there at all.  Where did it go?

Hi @smathai, thanks for adding to this thread! If all of your content is missing, can you confirm that you are on the correct page tab? The tabs are located at the bottom left of the screen. Usually when users experience this it’s because a new empty tab has been inserted before the tab with all the work.

If you are on the correct page tab, would you mind sharing a screenshot so I can better understand what you’re seeing? I appreciate your help and patience!

The org chart I am looking for was modified just a week ago.  Those are showing 2022 and 2018.

Hi @smathai, thanks for providing that screenshot! Since you’re not seeing the document in your Document list, there are a few things you can do:

• The document(s) may still be there. Can you double check that you're in the correct account? Sometimes users will use single sign on while signed into a different email account, which can produce errors. I suggest that you make sure you've checked any and all Lucid accounts that might be under your email address(es). I would be happy to check any email addresses in our system that you are unsure of.
• It is easy to accidentally delete documents. Could you please check that the documents aren’t in your trash? If the document is in the trash, check out this Community post (in English).
• If the documents were shared with you and now you no longer see them in your account it is possible that whoever shared it with you rescinded your access. We would recommend reaching out to whoever owns the document to have them re-share it with you.
• Your documents might be hiding in your browser history. If you carefully look through your browser history when you last worked on the document, you might be able to find it.

If you find the URL and would like additional assistance, feel free to send it to me via Private Message and I can take a closer look at the document.

I have only used my work email with the Lucid account which is the one I’m using.  I logged in with email and password not single sign on or another method.  I looked in the trash and it is not in there.

Thanks for confirming that information @smathai. Can you please provide the name of the document you are missing, this may allow me to locate the document on my end. Additionally, was this a document you created or was it shared with you by another user?

It was called BOSP Org Chart Global, likely last updated on July 25, 2024.  It might have been shared with me by Shawna Knauff but she is no longer with our organization.

@smathai, thanks for providing that information! It looks like a document with that name is still owned by Shawna Knauff, but is no longer shared with you. Shawna’s account has not been deleted, so you will need to work with the owner of Shawna’s Team to access the document. If you are unsure who owns the Account that Shawna is a part of, please reach out to your internal IT team.
