Some Jira projects show a large Lucid plugin section in the main layout of the card.

Jira card shows a large plugin section to add diagrams or boards.

This can be hidden, but only on a per card basis not for the whole project. What’s worse, is moving the card to another project retains this clutter.

Other projects don’t show this.

Jira card doesn’t show plugin section

Can this be configured per project? Can we turn off the large add diagram/board sections altogether? There are multiple other ways of adding a diagram or board to a card. This large section adds unnecessary clutter to the card.

You can add a Board or Diagram by selecting the more option on the card.
You can also add Boards or Diagrams through the ‘Apps’ section at the top of the card.

The documentation for the Jira plugin leads to the ad page for the plugin on Lucid’s site, not any real documentation.

There are no configuration options in the Jira  Add-On configuration page except the integration credentials.

Hi @Jonathan Ditzel, thanks for posting in the community and apologies for the trouble. To clarify, are you seeing both of these behaviors in the same instance? Additionally, are you working in Jira server or cloud? Thanks for your help and patience!

Hi @Addie ,

Yes we are seeing both these behaviours in the same instance of Jira Software Cloud.

Hi @Jonathan Ditzel, thanks for the reply and additional information - our team is looking into this and we will get back to you as soon as possible!

Hi @Jonathan Ditzel, thank you for your patience while we looked into this. Unfortunately, there is not a way to configure whether the Lucid plug-in section is displayed on the card per project or altogether.

Whether the Lucid plug-in section is displayed is determined by any user clicking either ‘Attach Lucidspark Board’ or ‘Attach Lucidchart Diagram’ (or the respective logos depending on how the card is being viewed) from the App section below the title of the ticket.

Once this selection has been made on a ticket, the only way to hide the section is to click the tri-dot menu to the right of the section and select ‘Hide Lucidchart Diagrams’ or ‘Hide Lucidspark Boards’.

If a board or diagram has been added to the Jira ticket via the tri-dot menu ‘more’ options, then the board/diagram is added as an attachment but the expanded section is not displayed until the same selection is made in the Apps section.

We are going to look into resolving the inconsistency in behavior of when the expanded section is displayed. Thank you for bringing it to our attention! Hopefully, the above information is helpful in clarifying what actions lead to the plug-in section being displayed. Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.
