Every time I do a new save I usually change the filename (using save as) to have the same text name but with a new added date. This creates confusion with the team when the document is redistributed.  I'm guessing I should always keep the same filename and put on the actual chart a new revision number?  I just want to make sure that I have history of changes with a document.  If I leave a document with the exact same name throughout all revisions (always just click save never use save as) is the revision history always kept?

Thanks!-Chris

Hi Chris

Thanks for posting! Yes! Be sure to simply save (not save as) your document. Your revision history should go back to when the document was created. You can also have backups stored in your Google Drive just in case! Check out the last accordion here.
