When I select a group of objects to add to a layer the option to do so is greyed out as shown below

Hi @markc

If you’re editing shapes that belong to a specific group or layer, other shapes that aren’t part of that group or layer will appear greyed out, and the options related to layers (like assigning to a layer) may become unavailable or inaccessible

  • In your scenario, if your mind map group is nested within a locked or isolated structure, such as a group, layer, or frame, LucidSpark will limit interactions with other elements. This means you won't be able to add them to a different layer. Essentially, the tool is prioritizing your focus on the current group or layer, indicating that other items are temporarily outside the scope of editing

To resolve the issue, consider ungrouping or unlocking the mind map elements. This will release them from their isolated group or layer, enabling you to access the Layer menu option. Once you've ungrouped the elements, you can assign them to your desired layer. If needed, you can then re-group the elements, maintaining your desired layer structure.
