Transparent borders on all shapes in Lucidchart

Hi there

I'm experiencing this issue. I've used the 'fill' to set the shape to white rather than transparent but I can still see the shapes underneath it.

Even if I change the fill to a dark colour I can still see the outline of the text or shape that the shape has been placed on top off.

Is there a setting I need to change somewhere?

Hi Melanie thanks for posting in the community!

I don't completely understand the issue you're experiencing but here's a couple suggestions that might help.

If you're trying to remove the outline of a shape you can reduce the line width to 0px.

If you're working with layers please check out this article with more information and let me know if you have any questions about this functionality.

I added a square shape to my drawing,  and made it 0% opacity. The borders are transparent. I set line width and line color, still no joy. I even turned off WebGL. Looks like Lucid can’t even do something as simple as add a square to a drawing.

Would you mind clarifying what you are hoping to do? Something similar to the below where the border is seen but the inside of the shape is transparent?

To create a shape in which the inside is transparent but the border is still shown, I’d reccomend the following:

• Opacity is higher and not set to 0%
• Fill color set to #000000 transparent
• Line color is selected & that the line width is higher than 0 px
