Just to confirm are you trying to add text to an image or are you trying to add words that are curved? Unfortunately it is not possible to curve text in Lucidchart. However it is possible to add text to an image by using the Text box shape. Please see the screenshot below for an example:

If your text is appearing behind your image you can right-click the text and select Arrange > Bring to front. This will bring the text in front of the image.
