Hi community,

sometimes I have to select a group of shapes that are placed above/inside another shape. When it is a higher number of shapes, I used to rectangle select the whole bunch and just single de-select the shape in the background.

However in the current version de-selecting single shapes (with CMD+Click or Shift+Click) does not seem to work correctly anymore. For me it just de-selects some random shape of the selection.

Thank you for any help.

Hi Achim,

Thanks for sharing. I understand exactly what you are describing because the same thing happened to me, and I already reported it as a bug to the team in charge of that functionality. This actually happens when you Shift+Click or Ctrl+Click the border of your selection. If you can deselect your background shape by clicking it without clicking too close to the border of your selection, it should work. Please let me know if that works for you.

Hey Lance,

thanks for your reply - however your workaround helps a bit, even if it is not working exactly like you described it. I click on the shape body not too close to the border and then I have to move the mouse outside of the shape in order to deselect it.

It’s really annoying :-)
