I have created 3 templates to use with my students. I would like for them to be able to click a link to access the template and then be able to edit it without affecting the original template. Everything that I have tried from the past help posts still seems to edit the template as well. Is there some way for them to have to auto copy the  template so that they can use it?

Thanks for posting! Please see the Create a Custom Template article from the Help Center to learn how to create a template. When your students open it they will create a new document from it rather than directly modify the original. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any further issues.
