I would like to use one of lucid charts examples and rename the information in it (eg rename the lane header). I'm brand new to this so maybe its obvious and I can't find it. This would be very helpful.

For future users you can change the title of a swimlane by double-clicking the text label.
Never mind I figured it out... there are a couple ways to change.
