I would be interested in learning any tips for using TOC related templates. When I import data from google sheets the shapes and colors come in as expected but the sequencing of the shapes appears to be somewhat random.

Hi Kreig thank you for contributing to the Lucid for Developers Community space! As this issue does not appear to concern our APIs I’ve moved your post to our Lucid Suite Community space and someone will reach out to you shortly.

Hi Kreig thanks for your question! So I can better understand what you're experiencing would you please respond with a screenshot of where things aren't looking as expected? To clarify it's not intended for Lucidchart to automatically generate your diagram with this "Current Reality Tree" template and you will need to manually associated any imported data with the necessary shapes but I want to be sure I'm understanding your workflow and goals with this diagram. Thanks for your help and patience!

Basically I would like to generate a diagram from a spreadsheet I generate using ChatGPT or BARD. I am able to do this using Mermaid.JS but I am not having any luck with Lucid Chart.

I am trying to import the information I need to generate a current reality tree diagram. I think I was able to export the diagram to google sheets then import back in.  The import doesn't maintain the layout. When I use VSDX to export the diagram and import it into Visio the layout does appear to be translated correctly.

Perhaps we could do a call so we can share additional information?

Thanks

Kreig

Hi Kreig

Thank you for getting back to us with this additional information. When using Lucidchart’s CSV Import for Process Diagrams to create flowchart there will be layout limitations - shape and text formatting (e.g. color font) size and absolute location on the canvas are not included when importing from CSV. Whereas importing diagrams from Visio (.vdx .vsdx and .vsd) does preserve the original layout in as high fidelity as possible.

Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns!
