Some times managers have multiple larger teams under them that do not fall under sub people managers. It would be great if you could artificially create supervisory groups to sort employees under this manager.

I currently solve this problem by importing my 600+ org data into the Lucid org template and then creating artificial employees to sort people under. This impacts the headcount number that Lucid chart provides.

Happy to get on teams and discuss if that would be useful.

Thanks to Max Isen from Lucid for sharing this feedback page.

Hi Jonathan

Thanks for posting in the Lucidchart Community! Unfortunately there is not currently a way to categorize employees without giving them a direct manager (or sub manager in your case).

There is also not currently a way to move a box down a level without putting them under a different parent. This Dropbox link contains a video example of a way you can currently work around this in the Lucidchart editor. It sounds like you are currently using a similar work around. Unfortunately you are correct that these work arounds will affect the provided headcount.

Would you mind filling out our feature request form and explaining your use case? These requests get sent to our Product Development team and can help shape future roadmaps!
