Hi,
I’m using Lucid to create a flowchart with swimlanes to visualise the end-to end process of product delivery.
As this process has many variations and teams involved, I’m using layers and actions (toggle) to show various sections of the chart. But I’m wondering if there’s a limit to the manageable number of layers and actions.
Currently I’m at almost 70 layers with probably the same amount still to come. Today it feels very slow with Chrome already saying that the open Lucid tab is using a lot of resources, recommending to close it down.
What is the advised maximum number of layers to use?
Is there another way to easily visualise the entire process flow?
Thanks!
Jasper
I came here today hoping to find the answer to this question also. What are the limits on layers?
Hi
You mentioned you currently have 70 layers in your document - the slowness may be coming from this if you have a high number of shapes in each layer.
If you are working on a very large document, you may consider breaking it into several smaller documents to improve performance. This Help Center article has more information on troubleshooting steps you can try.
I hope this helps. Please feel free to let us know if you have any questions!
