Organizing groups

Also how can I change the layout of one group? Instead of them all showing up in a line can they show up grouped together?

Hi Julia thank you for posting in the Lucid Community!

Due to the programming of our org chart shapes there are some limitations to how our org charts can be formatted. However we do have a workaround available to organize a large group of employee's under one user without connecting the employee's through the Organization Chart's formatting.

First you will want to create the Lead's employee shape outside of the Org Charts grouping. 

• Start by clicking on a single Org Chart employee tile (To select a single tile click directly on the specific tile two or three times or until an edit box is around only that tile) copy the single tile (cmd + c)
• Click outside of your org charts border  
• Paste duplicate tile on a blank portion of your document.
• Once you have done this you can then move the employee's tile around freely outside of the Org Chart's auto grouping. 
• Once in the desired place create you can use the line tool to draw lines connecting to the rest of their team or leave the tile without a connection.

If you would like to add line connections and lines outside of the org chart editor:

• To exit editing the org chart group press esc. 
• Next hover over the org chart shape until you see the red dot and pull the line from the shape to where you would like it to connect. 
• You can adjust the line after making the connection. 

To change the layout of your Org Chart double click on any of the current employee's to open the Org Chart's Contextual Panel. Here is where you can adjust the layout style horizontal and vertical spacing as well as the shape style.
