I seem to have somehow locked or combined this org chart into one unit. However when selected the lock button is not locked. The 2 text boxes are the only thing on the file that is editable. I can add to it but I'm unable to modify the original chart that I made.

You should be able to edit any of the existing shapes on your org chart by double clicking on them. If that doesn't help this could be a doc specific issue and we would love to look into what might be causing this. Would you mind submitting a support ticket here with the doc URL and a screenshot/recording of the issue? This will allow us to take a closer look!
