I'm doing swim lanes where two roles have to do the same thing. I've seen this represented by a gradient (ombre) color scheme combining the two swim lane colors.  I know how to fill a shape with a single color but how can I add another color to create the gradient?  Thx!

Found it (answered 7 years ago) under "Custom Gradient Editor" post > Style a Shape

Hi Tracy

Thanks for your post. I recommend using the Advanced Gradient option under Fill Color (my personal favorite feature of Lucidchart!). You can do this by following these steps:

1. Select your object

2. Select "Fill Color" at the top of the editor.

3. Click "More" at the bottom of the Fill Color dropdown.

4. Select "Linear" or "Radial" depending on how you want to format your gradient.

5. You can change the colors involved in your gradient by clicking on the tabs under the color bar near the top of the Fill Color dropdown. You can also add tabs if you want to add more colors.

Thanks Remy!

This feature is gone? this post is 6 years ago, any way to do this in 2024?

Hi @vinobrien

Thank you for the reply! This feature is still available, in our newer UI it is located in at the top of the Fill Color menu, in the dropdown menu.

I was in Lucid Spark, but I see I can edit in Chart. My bad.

@vinobrien No worries! Let me know if you have any other questions.
