Making UMP Sequence diagrams

I am trying to make some sequence diagrams and am having issues.

1 - The videos ( and the templates ) show an Object box. You drag the line down and it is the proper dotted line. When I attempt to do this I just get a solid arrow.

2 - The message arrow in the templates and in the video have labels associated with the arrow. When I draw an arrow I don't see that.

Sure I can kind of work around this with text boxes but the templates you provide have these features. The shape library does not seem to.

Thanks for posting on the community!

You can change the line to a dotted line by styling it using the properties bar along the top of the document.

If you want to use that style of line repeatedly simply right click on the line and select "Set Default Style". Then every line you draw out after that will be in that style.

To add labels to your lines and arrows double click on the line and a text field will then appear that you can edit and move around along the line.
