Is it possible for breakout boards not to be displayed as links within the main board, but for a specific area of a breakout board, e.g., a frame, to be visible directly on the main board with its entries, like a photo or a window frame?

This picture or insight does not have to be fully dynamic while people work on both the main and the brakout board. It is sufficient for the team in charge of the breakout board to “photograph” the view on the breakout board and approve this photo of the frame for the board above it to be displayed.
Currently, we solve this by having the team copy excerpts and paste them into the main board, but in the future, different permissions will apply to the breakout boards than to the main board.

Hi @AOhr

Thank you for posting in the community! Just to confirm are you asking whether it's possible to have a specific visual "snapshot" of a breakout board area visible on the main board, without needing to paste content manually?

Since you mentioned a frame as an example, you can move a specific frame directly to the main board instead of duplicating it. To do this, hover your cursor over the frame, then select the option to copy the selected content to the mainboard. This way you are not copying it manually. Please let me know if this answers your question. If not, feel free to provide additional information.

Hello dear Lucid team, Hi @Sierra S Tank you for examinig my use case and your answer.

I still couldn't resolve my case. Perhaps I didn't describe it well. Let's assume person A has access to Board 1, Person B works on Board 2, and Person C on Board 3. A section or window from Board B and C should be copied or sent to Board A, but without them having access to the content of the entire Mainboard 1.

What is the use case? Why do we need this? In Board 1 is the coordinataion level of our Flight Levels system. Here, teams should not see the content, but they should be able to "report" or "send" sections that show the status of their workflows to the main board. So, the idea is to copy parts of the Team Boards up in an info-push manner, without having access to Mainboard 1. We do not want to pull information and copy paste to coordination level in a pull system manner.

I hope this explains the case more clearly. Thank you! AO

Hi @AOhr,

Thank you for clarifying your question and providing the use case.

Unfortunately, what you're describing isn't currently possible. There cannot be separate permissions between the main board and the breakout boards. This means it's not possible to push certain information to the main board while restricting access to it. You will have to copy and paste the content manually and/or follow the steps I outlined in my previous post.

That said, there are other create and effective ways to accomplish that with sharing or with Lucid’s Process Accelerator.

Let me know if you'd like me to go into those options in more detail.
