The symbol for creating a hyperlink is light gray in my screen and cannot be used. How can I link to a URL or email?
Another question is whether you can also use a link if you convert the document to a PDFlink and use that in a PDF

Thanks for posting! The symbol should change color when you have selected or highlighted an object or text string. If it is still disabled can you please send a screenshot of what you see?
Links will still be active when you export a document as a PDF. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
