I use lucidchart with my Chrome browser.

Why does this happen when trying to put text in shape? How can I fix this?

Kind regards
Kees

Hi @keesvanwinden

Text wrapping issues in shapes may occur due to specific settings or browser-related factors. Here’s some suggestions on how to troubleshoot and maybe fix this issue:

  1. Adjust Shape Properties

    • Right-click on the shape and select "Edit Text" or open the Properties Panel.
    • Check the Text Alignment settings to ensure proper alignment.
    • Look for a "Word Wrap" toggle (if available) and enable it.
  2. Resize the Shape

    • Click on the shape and drag its corners to make it slightly larger. This may force the text to wrap correctly.
  3. Reset Browser Zoom

    • Set the Chrome browser zoom level to 100% by pressing Ctrl+0 (Windows) or Cmd+0 (Mac).
  4. Clear Browser Cache

    • In Chrome, go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Clear Browsing Data. Clear cache and cookies for Lucidchart.
  5. Switch Browsers

    • Try accessing Lucidchart on a different browser (e.g., Firefox, Edge) to rule out browser-specific issues.
  6. Contact Lucid Support:

    • If none of the above steps work, reach out to Lucidchart support and provide details, including a screenshot, for assistance.

Hope this helps!
