I have a document where I cannot see any line shapes or connectors.  I can click on them and change their size, but when I click off of them, they are invisible.  It doesn’t seem to affect any other shapes.  How can I get my connectors and line shape to be visible again?

Good morning @mwarwick,

Thank you for reaching out about this. I’m wondering if it might be related to webGL on that document. If you go to the top menu, in the View section, then down at the bottom of the list for rendering toggle the option for webGL it might resolve the issue. Let me know if that fixes the problem for you.

Hi Shantel, thank you for your suggestion.  I tried toggling that setting and it didn’t help.  This is what I’m seeing:

@mwarwick,

Thank you for the screenshot, that’s helpful! I wonder if it got rearranged on accident and “sent to back” maybe? Can you try right clicking on the line and then selecting “arrange” and then picking “bring item forward” or “bring to front”?

Lastly, this might be a weird thought, but is the color of the line the problem? Is the color the same as the background?

Hi Shantel, you figured it out!  All of my lines and connectors were using the transparent color.  It is defaulting to that color when I add new ones.  Do you know how to change it to default to a different color?

@mwarwick,

Yes, if you start by clicking anywhere on a blank part of the canvas, and then select the line color tool, then select the line color you want to be your default.

(The important part is to click on the blank canvas first, because if you click on a shape it’ll only make the adjustment to that shape.)

Thank you for that information!  I was able to get my default color and line weight reset successfully.  Thanks again for your help!

You’re welcome! Glad I could help you!
