I have a drawing which has multiple layers. I have multiple lines connected to an object on the same layer as the lines with the opposites ends connected to objects on another layer. These lines are configured as curves. They are also 1px wide. One of those lines crosses over 2 other lines. I have jumps turned on but the jumps were not showing. While trying to figure this out I found that if I changed the curve, I could position the curve were the jumps would appear. Is this normal?

Thanks.

Hi @Knox McCormac

It sounds like you're encountering a situation where the behavior of line jumps in Lucidchart depends on the positioning and curvature of the lines.

Here are some suggestions to ensure Jumps Appear:

  1. As you've already done, fine-tune the curvature of the lines to create more distinct intersections.
  2. Slightly increasing the line thickness from 1px to 2px may improve the visibility of jumps at intersections.
  3. Ensure that the layers containing the lines and connected objects are properly aligned, as misalignment can affect how intersections are rendered.
  4. Temporarily convert curves to straight lines to verify that jumps are appearing as expected. Once verified, reintroduce curves.
  5. Contact Support here: Submit a request – Lucid if this behavior seems inconsistent or problematic for your design. Consider reaching out to Lucidchart support with a screenshot or example for further clarification.

Hope this helps!
