We have been using Lucid to draw ERD's of our applications. We've always used the arrow endpoints that contain a v-shaped form on top of the line and the horizontal line shown across the line. I am taking over this project from a colleague and I just noticed that we cannot select these arrow endpoints anymore. However, our entire diagram is modeled with them in mind so I cannot continue linking our entries in the ERD now.

Can you please let me know how to get all previous arrow endpoints again?

Additionally, we also used the icon in the top right corner to indicate that a certain model was finished or still in progress etc by including an emoji. I also cannot seem to find that setting anymore. Did it move or was it simply removed from the options?

@yana.dirkx I can find information on working with arrows, but the fact that you can’t even select them sounds to me like a bug. The fact that the emoji button is missing is also concerning. Here is the link to put in a ticket request:

Thanks @Aparrish! I created a ticket.

Hi @yana.dirkx, thank you for posting in the Lucid Community! I’m sorry that you’re having trouble with the arrow endpoints in your ERDs.

Thank you @aparrish for directing this to a ticket!

I found it! As soon as I added a Template with ERD elements, the entire interface changed to the one I was used to and included all of the options I needed. Before, I had a super clean and condense version of the interface. A lot nicer to work with tbh, but lacking the additional options I needed.

In case someone else runs into a similar issue, I fixed it by adding a Template named "ERD with colored entities (UML notation)" to the board. This reset the interface to a way more complex one that includes all ERD options.

Hi @yana.dirkx, thank you so much for updating this thread with your solution for others in the community to see! I’m happy to hear that this has been resolved for you! Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to support your work in Lucid.

For anyone else who stumbles across this post, the Create an Entity Relationship Diagram in Lucidchart article from the Lucid Help Center is a great place to start with ERDs. An additional suggestion is to search the Diagram Templates blog for ideas.
