Import Vsd file getting "Error"

I'm trying to import a VSD file and instead of getting a green "Success" I get a red "Error".

It's a fairly complex VSD but only because it has a lot of text and lines and a few stencils.  There are no images.

I've tried a few things to make the Visio simpler and also tried saving it as a new file and also copied the contents to an entirely new file.  All attempts with no success.

Is there an option to see what the "Error" is?

Thanks

Hey Daniel have you tried saving the document as a VSDM or VDX file and then importing it?

Here is a good community post with some Visio import tips!

Saving the VSD file to VDX format it imported successfully.

Hi I have the same problem as Daniel did. Get an Error when trying to upload VSD file. I tried to change the file to VSDM and VDX but it's again Error in both cases. Do you have any other hint?

Hi Sladjana

Thanks for reaching out and for using Lucidchart. Have you tried the workaround above? In the meantime please report your issue by sending us your VSD file so we can troubleshoot. Thanks in advance!

Thanks Keyvan. I saved the file to my desktop and it helped.
