Hi Simon-Pierre thank you for posting in the community! I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble with storage in your account and am happy to help! It sounds like you have added many images to your documents.

Please note that images generally take up the most space in your account if you are running out of room it is recommended that you clear out as many images as you can from both your documents and your Image Manager. You can access your Image Manager by clicking the image icon next to the magnifying glass above your shape library.

Could you please try the above step to see if your storage amount decreases? Please let me know if you see any improvements after trying this.

I found the Image Manager in a LucidChart document I'm using a LucidSpark document.

Inside a document I went to "Images" from the toolbar and clicked the "Images" tab it's empty:

I tried searching a few things including wildcards like * and it's only LucidSpark images showing up.

Hi Simon-Pierre thanks for following up in this thread. Lucidspark doesn't have an image manager but Lucidchart does.

If your storage is full we recommend that you manually delete images in your Lucidspark boards. You can also check the size of your documents from your My Documents page and try deleting as many boards as you can.

To check your documents' size please follow these steps: 

• Select the document from your My Documents list


• Click on the three dots menu to the right of the document's name


• Scroll down to select the option "Show details"

As I wrote in the title they take less than 5MB combined: 

The 2nd sentence of the opening ticket mentioned I have tried deleting images. It didn't free up space. It would be easy to notice since one of them was 5MB on its own.

FYI it doesn't make sense that the "Mind Map" document would be so small as to take 786 KB most images in that document take more space than that on their own.

I'm having exactly the same problem. I have only one empty lucidspark board.  All images have been deleted from the board.  The board is totally empty.  No other charts or boards or anything  yet my storage is apparently 100% full.  There is clearly a problem with image deletion.  If i try and delete the board I also get an error saying the board can't be deleted.

This has rendered my account utterly unusable. 

I have succeeded in deleting the board as well.  I now have a totally empty account with no documents at all  yet my storage is 100% used.  I wonder how many users are paying for storage of images they have deleted? 

@james a102 Thanks for continuing this thread and sorry for the trouble! Can you please provide the following information so I can better understand the issue?

• In your Account Settings in the left panel you can see how much of your storage is occupied and by what. Would you please share a screenshot of what you see there?


• In addition to moving your board to the Trash can you confirm if you have permanently deleted the boards by deleting them from the Trash folder as well (as shown in the screenshot below)?

Turns out the one board in my account wasn't even mine - it was just shared with me. The person who shared it with me has now deleted it AND DELETED IT FROM Trash.

I have no boards.

I have nothing in my trash.

I have no charts.

Nothing. Nada. Nic. Nothing whatsoever. I'm not sure how else to make it clear to you that my account is totally completely and utterly empty.

Oh... and now the cherry on the cake. I tried to upload a picture into this post as per your request and now this system is saying...

"You can only upload image (jpeg gif or png). Image uploads are limited to 2MB".

And yes.... the image is less than 2MB (26.3KB to be precise) and yes.... it is a png file. I would send you a screenshot to prove it but..... oh no... I can't.

What a shambles.

And yet..... my storage is apparently 102% full of images.

Hi James I'm sorry for the continued trouble - thanks for getting back to me with that information. Can you please try creating a Lucidchart document then opening the Image Manager by clicking on the Image icon in the Shapes panel then selecting Image Manager from the dropdown menu?

If there are images present here can you please try deleting them to see if that reduces the storage occupied by images? Thanks for your help and patience!
