How to exclude page header and footer items from content scaling

As I build a chart e.g. an ERD diagram I will find the need to scale the content to fit a specific page size e.g. letter.  I don't want to scale certain items e.g. page header and footer elements such as last edit date/time and page number.  If I add those items to the master page they still scale whenever I scale content on other pages.

Am I missing something?

Hi Matt thanks for posting! Changing the content scale does change the scale of everything on the page including master page elements. I apologize for any inconvenience this causes for you. If you think functionality should be different you can reach out to our engineers to give them that feedback through this feature request form. In the meantime as a workaround what I'd recommend doing is using ctrl + A (or command + A if you are using a Mac) to select everything on a page (it won't select master page elements) and drag the corner of the box to make those elements larger to fit the page. Hope this helps!
