Hello,

I wanted the shape that I reference below but I wanted to:

  1. have line/arrow connection points
  2. be able to use data to manipulate the text.

Creating a group; which is a circle on top of a rectangle gives me the ability to manipulate the text via the data feature. But groups don’t have line connection points
0_0?a=183&x=785&y=5&w=310&h=310&store=1&accept=image%2F*&auth=LCA%207a8e4a60295a6d45356cae68c54b1b3031a3914bbdf3113e4b5097a85daed41a-ts%3D1738858996
Downloading the shape as an SVG allow me to have connection points but it doesn’t allow me to use data for the text

Is there a solution that gives me both features?

Hi @rowan.smith,

I recreated your shape and group them as usual (Right click → Group), and I was able to use the connection point as usual.

Just put your cursor on the line (in Windows wait until it becomes a plus sign), and then click once. This will show the connection dots.

And once you drag the line (from any starting point) and release it, it will give you the next shapes options.

Hope this helps.

Catherine
