How to add a link inside a shape in Lucidchart and one-click open the link

Should I assume that I have to use embed?   I just want the user to be able to click on the “Off-Page Link” picture  - not the invisible link next to it.

Hi Cheningham,

You can apply the link to the text in the shape instead by selecting the text, then attaching the link (either with ctrl+v or the link button in the toolbar). It will look like this if people click the text, which means it’s still not one click only.

For both this method and the one you have already done, people can one-click the link by doing ctrl+shift+click. The clickable area will highlight green, and it will just be the text if applied to the text or the whole shape if done how you did it.

If you want people to be able to one-click into the link without needing to know the shortcut, you’ll have to use the embed.
