Hi Jeff! JIRA has a sophisticated permission system that allows administrators to limit users' access to projects and issues on the instance. Add-on's are assigned a "user" profile and can be administered like any other user in the JIRA system.
In order to function correctly the Lucidchart add-on user needs to be able to view create and delete attachments. On a default configuration the add-on is automatically assigned the relevant permissions for these operations. This may not be the case with more complex set-ups.
If Lucidchart add-on reports lacking permissions please check the following parameters inside the JIRA Administration area.
Standard configuration:
- Go to user management and make sure the add-on user exists and belongs to jira-users and atlassian-addons groups.
- Click Project roles for the add-on user and make sure that it has the atlassian-addons-project-access role for all projects that you intend to use the add-on in.
- Fix any missing parameters and try again.
Advanced configuration:
If you have a more fine-grained permission scheme on your instance make sure that the Lucidchart add-on user has the following permissions for the projects you intend to use it in:
- Browse projects
- Create attachments
- Delete all attachments or Delete own attachments
