Hello folks,

As part of Change and Transformation team, my role involves frequent client interactions and process mapping, which I now perform using LucidChart (enterprise version) after transitioning from ARIS. I am seeking ways to leverage LucidChart to enhance my daily tasks.

My typical workflow includes using Excel (which is used to update tables which includes data points like “Activity Name”, “Risk Y/N”, and other meta data), PowerPoint, Teams, ServiceNow, and Archer. While I am aware that LucidChart offers app integrations, such as with Teams to improve collaboration, I am particularly interested in exploring automation capabilities within LucidChart.

Any insights or suggestions on how to effectively utilize LucidChart for automation would be greatly appreciated.

P.S: I do not have programming background, so concepts like API would be too technical for me.

Thank you!

Hi @rraghuvamsi

Explore these no-code solutions that are worth your time and effort.

Idea -1:

LucidChart's robust data linking features simplify your workflow by seamlessly integrating your Excel data into diagrams.

Directly connect your Excel spreadsheets to LucidChart, enabling automatic population of shapes with critical information, including Activity Names and Risk Assessments. With data refresh capabilities, ensure your process maps stay current, reflecting the latest Excel updates.

This dynamic integration streamlines your workflow, maintaining data accuracy and consistency.

Idea -2:

Streamline your diagram creation with LucidChart's automation capabilities. Utilize industry-specific templates and shape libraries tailored for process mapping to accelerate your initial setup.

Furthermore, LucidChart's intelligent drawing features enable efficient diagramming. As you add shapes to the canvas, the tool naturally suggests connections and layouts based on established process flows, saving you time and effort.
