i believe there is no current auto delete automation or functionality you have to manually delete them.

Hi Mark and Suleiry thanks for this post! To clarify this seven day holding period followed by automatic deletion was the prior trash function - a previous community post you've seen might have been written at that time. Apologies for the confusion!
