On a diagram I've used hotspots to make borderless areas of color as backgrounds and such for other elements.  When I download as anything (png jpeg pdf etc.) the colors disappear; I'm using the same color/opacity as fill within standard elements and those work fine.

How can I fix this or is there some other way to put a borderless colored region on a diagram?

Hi Ernest! Thanks for reaching out in the community. Hotspots will disappear when downloading a document since they are only used as a button to link to other pages. If you are looking to create borderless shapes you can do so by dragging out any shape and then changing the color of the line surrounding the shape to the transparent option that is on the top far left corner (see below). Then you can go into the shape options and change the color/opacity of the shape to make it look exactly how you had the hotspot look in the images you attached. Hope this helps!
