I have this issue. I have put numbers on the screenshot to better understand.
I am working on a template, with different hidden frames (3). Lots of these frames have picture backgrounds.
I have integrated a google slide presentation (1) on the board. I have extracted the thumbnails (2) of the presentation slides, I put a frame on each slide and than I have the problem that a lot (nearly all) of the backgrounds of the previous existing frames (3) are gone.
How can I avoid this problem?
Many thanks
kind regards
Franco

Hey @Franco,
Thanks so much for clarifying.
We just need to work out if the issue you are experiencing is to do with:
The Google Slides integration, or
The Frames feature in Lucid
Just to be clear, I think what you are experiencing is…
You had some frames with images placed inside them
You then shared a Google Slide presentation to the board
You then used the ‘Extract thumbnails’ feature to add them to the board
You put frames around each of the thumbnails
Then the images in the frames you had set up previously have now disappeared (since extracting the thumbnails)
(FYI - I used this video to follow along and it helped me understand your process)
Questions:
Can you see the images disappearing as you follow the above workflow?
Can you explain in more detail “the frames have picture backgrounds”? I’m not sure I’m clear on how that works.
Would you mind clarifying exactly how you are extracting the thumbnails? Also, have you checked that the thumbnails are not sitting 'behind' the frame itself?
I believe you're saying that you have done the following, is that correct? 1) Integrated a Google Slide deck 2) Extracted some thumbnails for each slide from the deck 3) Placed a frame around those slides 4) Hidden some (not all) of those frames Issue: When you un-hide a frame the thumbnails are not present.
Additional help on frames: Frames don't necessarily have background images, but they can have background colors. You can first click a Frame you want to add a new color to. Then select the fill color or line color icon from the Frame’s Context Toolbar. In the window that appears, select a color from the options. You can set a custom color by selecting the plus icon.
the problem is not with the thumbnails of the presentation, in fact the problem occurs on the preexisting slides on the frames below. The ones with the number 3 on it. They used to have images (one was an animated gif) and they were visible before I extracted the presentation on the top. Once I extract them , the images are gone , as you can see in the screenshot.
I extract the slides with the dedicated button , in the screenshot is even visible the one on the left of the word “image” , I choose the option extract “all”.
