Is there a limit to the number of times I can use a connector line in the free version? After completing a couple of very simple flow diagrams I am now prompted to upgrade to a paid version to be able to use the lines.

It sounds like you have hit the limit of objects per document – our free accounts are limited to three documents with a maximum of 60 objects per each shapes and lines included.
